I have started using the wysiwyg editor. As first it worked perfectly and all my links within the description worked fine, even after editing the link.
Then suddenly they stopped working. I can't remember, but am pretty sure I didn't do anything different before it suddenly stopped.
Now, I click the insert link and enter a url then submit, the link displays:
] and you could be wearing it tomorrow!
instead of the actual wording BUY NOW and you could be wearing it tomorrow! The wording BUY NOW having the link.
Strange - it appears to be working fine on one of my other sites, which has custom templates for editing and submitting. Though that must just be a coincidence as I cannot see anything different for the description.
Also, I want to be able to do more with this editor. If I change it to either the default or full, rather than just basic, will all those functions work with wsn?
Looks like this was caused by the solution to some previous issue with links after editing (as the code comment puts it, "ugly hack to fix crazy urls after editing links in WYSI mode"). I believe you were the one who pointed out the other bug. I've restored it for the moment, testing to see if there's another solution to that other bug.
I upgraded to 4.1.52 but it is still not working, although now it's a totally different problem.
It looks ok in the browser, but the link goes to the dirurl (not the one you input), and when you view the source it shows
<a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.onlinetshirts.co.uk/blog/"http://www.paidonresults.net/c/12345/1/258/funkthis/NEW-IN/JUNK-FOOD-LITTLE-MISS-STUBBORN-RED-TEE-SHIRT/"">Little Miss Stubborn</a>
When you go back into edit and look at the url it has removed the one you put in and replaced it with the dirurl
[EDIT] Also, I have just noticed that for each attachment you add it adds an empty line at the beginning of the description. Not a big problem though as you can just delete them before submitting

serv94g508d2.sn.sourcedns.c...rts---more-designs-42.html It's a new site (nameservers not propagated). suggestlink.tpl and edit.tpl are NOT customised. (wrapper, search, displaylinks, detailcomments and main are the only ones customised) If I do this link in the plain editor, using wsn codes it works fine. I have only just uploaded the site to this domain. I had originally built it at another url and moved it yesterday. The problem is at both urls

Confirmed. Nothing has actually changed with WYSIWYG, but somehow what used to work must've stopped doing so...

Using firefox 3? It must generate different code than firefox 2 did.

No, I'm still on FireFox 2. I haven't upgraded to 3 as there are still a fair number of bugs in it.
After reading your other post on firefox I tested the editor in IE7. The first one worked, second one didn't!

Hi Paul,
Just upgraded the site to 4.1.51 but this problem is still there.
I tried both editing an existing link then making a new one. neither worked

Seems to work for the first URL now but not for multiple I guess. Will try more complex tests.

I'm not able to produce any errors with URLs on localhost. testing]here
Functions may work if they have WSN code equivalents set up, if the HTML matches them right.

testing for edit bug here
Okay, applied a solution on the forum but it needs testing.

I'm not seeing what you describe in this thread. What's your URL wsn code? Might it be an older or customized one?
