WSN ppc is great idea!

What about WSN classifieds? More specifically I am intrested in a classified job script.

There must be many of us or on the web that can really utilize a decent job site for our day job profession. All the classifieds scripts I have tried sucked. I used Delta script but the search function was no good. i dont know if the modification would be time consuming for paul but I would definitely be interested in a classified job script.

Beyond copying what mrowton's classifieds template set/fields already does, I don't know what else it ought to do, so a list of features it ought to have would give me an idea of if I'd be likely to do it. It's a possibility though.

My problem with some of the scripts I have tried is the search function. They are just not up to par. I would like to be able to let some one search jobs by zip code or area code or city or state or all together if possible. Some of the script will only allow you specific searches like delta scripts classifieds.

For example: If someone posted and ad from zip code 92610. IF you do a search on delta scripts for 92610 and the state CA. The above ad wont come up, unless you only put in 92610. That really defeats the purpose of having a search function. I think if you have 92610 in the search it shouldnt matter what other words you put in at the very least the 92610 ad should come up.

thanks,

Appart of the actual WSN features that undoubtly are very important:

- Unique data fields for each category. Different set of variable
definition fields can be assigned to different categories... ( Only few classified scripts gives capability of customizing the fields to be entered per category. So this is one of the most relevant features). fuee is asking for job classified scritp. Whit this feature you can have a category of job classifieds another category of auto classifieds, etc...

- Autonotify feature allowing users to receive emails notifying for postings meeting their search criteria. (This feature stay functional for a stablished period of time)

- At posting, user selects the time his ad will maintain posted before autoexpiring.

- Automatically/No automatically delete expired ads.

- Renoval ads capability.

- User folder with menu: Saved ads; Delete/renew/edit my ads; Edit personal search and notify functions; Modify user profyle.

- A kind of toplist of ads placed last 3 / 5 /... days. " Show all ads displayed today (or on last 3 days)" phrase.

- Reply to an ad using a form (like formmail) no revealing the poster email.

- Invalid email check at forms.

- Next Back feature to browse ad details as per page

- Help system

- All ads posted by..(this poster).. link at ad details.

- Usergroup feature to allow a number of free ads to post before start to pay.

- Payment for number of ads feature.

- Ad renewal has a different charge than new posting.

- Multi poster user can be charged differently than user posting small amounts of ads.

- Static ad details pages that are only updated if ad data changes (Used to reduce the server load)

- Advanced Search capabilities to include a period of time; ads with/without photos.

- Admin can also manually activate user profile if user activation is required.

- Display/do not display short ad descriptions (first n words of description) when viewing ad listings

- Maximum number of times an ad can be renewed

already availabe but would like to remark:
- Posibility of banning abusing posters
- New and edited ads notice by email to admin.
- Notifying n days previous expiration date.
- Maximum number of subcategories a user can submit the same post to.
- Multiple image upload (to be enabled or disabled)

Fatures I have seen but do not seems to be too much usefull at the moment:
- Ad comparison feature to compare ad field within a category.
