Hi,

I am moving to another webhost again. I used to remeber there is a thread with a safe moving to another webhost posted by quantum or the other member. But i cant find it now? Not in the manual anymore?

Like how to backup the database using phpmyadmin. Anyone knows the link?

Erm, i have uploaded the database to my new server. But it says now :-

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /home/username/public_html/config.php on line 14

WSN Links is unable to render this page. The reason is described below:

Cannot establish a database connection.
MySQL returns the error Access denied for user ''@'localhost' to database 'wsn1_link'. (It's possible that the web host's database is currently down, if so this is a temporary error and will go away when the database is accessible again.)
Version info: WSN Links 3.15

I hae setup the config file correctly. Do i need to run a setup.php again? I cant view the site now using the i.p. given by my new server.

I deleted the "safe upgrade" manual entry, which was about how to gradually upgrade your templates, because various things from 2.56 templates or the like don't actually work in newer versions.

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /home/username/public_html/config.php on line 14

Open your config.php file: scripts.webmastersite.net/w...inks/wsnmanual/articles/78 . It is highly unlikely that you are actually root on this server -- that would mean you own it. If you don't know, you can ask your web host what your mysql access info is or how to set it up.
