Under Admin Panal-> Settings -> Links there is a spot that says when a link expires what they should be: Hidden/Deleted/hard-deleted. Anyway I can change that so that it will move to a different category? (Or at least stay in the directory?
When adding a link I definitely do not want guests to add links. Is there a setting some where to make it so they have to register (I have register set to email activation.) before they can even try to submit a link? Or is there some where that a submitted link had to be approved by admin before showing up?

Hidden = active but hidden from view
Deleted = marked as deleted
Hard Deleted = removed from database
Check your guest / member / admin usergroups settings in your admin panel to allow/disallow various actions for guest vs registered members.

Expired links remaining visible wouldn't be expiring. If you want some system to move after x days, that's unrelated.
