With the recent change to dnsreport, red flagging open DNS, many have found their VPS or dedicated server having OPEN DNS -- myself included.
There are some 'quick fixes' propagating the web which 'fix' the open DNS problem but will render the link checkers of WSN Links inoperable.
I've dug into this a bit on my own and have utilized some of the magic of BIND and have come up with a secure configuration which allows the link checkers to work also.
If anyone is struggling with this, let me know and I'll post the relavent parts of my named.conf and explain how to apply to your own situation.
