I have 30 health categories with Pagerank 4s' and was wondering how do I upgrade to WSN Links 4.0.12 without losing my Pagerank?
Today, I tried to upgrade from WSN Links 3.4.6. to 4.0.12 and lost all of my Pagerank. Luckily, I kept a backup of WSN 3.4.6 and restore all of categories back to its original state.
How could the software version you use possibly affect pagerank? Google doesn't have access to your server so it doesn't know what software you run.
Google, anyhow, does not instantaneously update pageranks. The odds that they were doing one of their monthly (or every few months) updates at the exact moment after you upgraded are, well, around zero.
If you change your URLs you could see an impact, but there's no reason to change urls when updating.
If you change html to htm then yes, that will be a new page which has to be reranked (though if there aren't a lot of external links to it it'll end up with virtually the same rank as before). I gather you must be generating HTML since you're coming up with .htm. The generate html page asks you what to name the files, so tell it .html.

Paul,
Thanks for the reply.
I'm using mod_rewrite and I guess what I'm asking is, does version 4.0.12 change the URL or the format of the directory?
For example:
/mp3/index.html (with Pagerank)
/mp3/index.htm (no Pagerank; new webpage)
I'd tried upgrading again to version 4.0 and the Pagerank disappeared.
Please advise. Thanks!
