I liked the script so much that I had bought it right away in October, paul you made a amazing script.. and it was totaly worth buying...i got busy with studies so couldn’t complete my site but now the site would be completed as exam over
Because it would be just amazing, coz people who add their site can add tag for topic they blog, and it would be nice
I got this idea but I am not sure how to go about implementing it it wuld be nice if paul you could guide if there already a mechanism in current version by which this can be achieved or if not .. include option in new release of your software if possible it would be very nice
Also second thing can I generate thumbshots ? dynamically… coz right now I tried doing manually.. it takes time.. but there aren’t many Indian blogger so shouldn’t be problem but it would be nice if anyone knows how to generate thumbshots… ?
I dotn want to use thumbshot site because it doesn’t have thumbshot of Indian blog sites… and getting it listed would take time so I thought storing it myself would be nice as fast too only generating no idea how…
All I can gather from those pages is that you're supposed to use certain parameters in linking to things. You haven't explained what you need, where the difficulty is. What sort of places are you trying to place these special links that can't be done through the templates?
As for thumbshots, you should be able integrate any site you can find that offers them (presumably they have code to use for such, as thumbshots.org does) but you have to find the site. By storing it yourself I don't know what you mean, unless you're asking if WSN has a spider that can go grab such screenshots, which of course it doesn't.
hey thanks paul for replying so fast ... Okie I think I didn’t explain properly let me give it a second try
Well my Directory is based upon location so the listing categories are location where blogger located
I am thinking is there a way by which I can implement the tags system like mentioned in above those technorati and flickr site use something similar
Like when a bloggers submits his blog, the listing would be based upon location but at same time… there would be another option extra field called like “I blog on†like technology, cooking etc anything which they submit
One idea of doing so I got would be by creating new field and asking people to submit, and then linking those to search so that if click on that tag eg(like technology) they find all who have added this tag to there entry.. Listed together
But one problem I am not sure how to get this done… ? coz I don’t want to create so many extra field for each tags I want only one field in which people submit all their tag seprated by space which get linked to seach not sure how to do this
First add a custom link field named something like 'tags'. Then in the templates change <a href="{TRACKLINKURL}" to <a rel="{LINKTAGS}" href="{TRACKLINKURL}"
I presume the value for the tag would be a list of the keywords separated by commas.
The searching by tag you can base on the other field searches on the advanced search page, and see the manual entry on converting that to a url (will find it in a moment).
I see now how having all the keywords in one field complicates the search. Don't see a solution. It'd have to work like the 'similar topics' in threads here I suppose, with a mysql fulltext index.
Comments on tags to wsnlinks how ? help needed

I am working on Directory for Indian bloggers as there aren’t many people who blog on any specific topic the directory based upon location
But I was wondering if there a way to add something like a tag system similar on the lines of http://www.technorati.com/tag/ and http://www.flickr.com/photos/tags/
Because it would be just amazing, coz people who add their site can add tag for topic they blog, and it would be nice
