When I click the site map link it times out after 30 seconds and produces the error:
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/accommod/public_html/wsn/classes/category.php on line 1975
Do I have too many categories for the sitemap to cope? I notice that the site generally runs rather slowly with WSN links (it previously ran on a script that produced HTML pages). You can still see the original in action at the root domain.
1359 would be too many categories for the sitemap to show, yes. It can be limited to a smaller number of levels but I'm not sure that'll help much when your first two levels seem to have most of the categories.
If you put the front page categories into say 10 or 20 regional groups then the index page would load much quicker. The index appears to be about 5 times slower than the rest of the pages because of the number of top level categories.
