Just making a new site. Uploaded yesterday but the date that should show when the site was last updated was showing 18 June 2006! Having worked on it today the date has disappeared, leaving a gap.

I have:

Directory last updated {LASTUPDATE}

on the template

Forget this! It has righted itself. Must just have been a glitch in the ol' system!

I believe the date is only accurate one you have a link in the directory.
