Not sure when this happened - kinda not very noticeable thing. All other stars are showing just fine. No error messages. BTW, I noticed that after I upgraded to 3.21 - as I said I'm not sure when it happend though.
It works for me, but for a long time now I've been distributuing a blank transparent gif as the stars0.gif image. Perhaps you haven't checked what image you're using and concluded it wasn't showing without looking at the html source.
would never guess. I should've looked at the gif itself. What is the reason though - the word "Rating:" appears without anything - looks kinda not good. I can upload the old blank start of course, but just want to see what was the idea.
The reason is that there was no obvious way to tell the difference between five stars and none with the old stars0.gif. It's bad for users to think everything is rated 5 stars at a glance when there are actually no votes. Of course you can use a conditional to fully eliminate the no votes rating as well.
Of course, any sort of 'unrated' graphic is beyond my artistic capabilities.

No one is questioning any of your capabilities - we wouldn't be here otherwise
