I pruned some entries in a category and now I only have one page of links in that category. http://www.domain.com/directory/category Howeever, when people follow external lnks to the old second page of that category; http://www.domain.com/directory/category/2 they get to a blank template page and this also shows search engines a 200 found header code. Is there any way to change this to a 404 not found error?

Have you regenerated?

Thanks for replying. Yes, I have regenerated. I don't think this has any effect though. Even putting in URLs like http://www.domain.com/directory/category/3, http://www.domain.com/directory/category/4, or even http://www.domain.com/directory/category/100 will return a blank template, with no entries and a 200 found header. Which is something that I never realised before, until I tried it.

Anyone? I have even tried redirecting the old URL using .htaccess, but it simply goes to the non-mod-rewritten URL.

Changed to the 'bad request' page with a 404 header now.

Brilliant. Thanks for being so quick Paul. Would this apply to WSN Links 3.4.7, or would it involve upgrading to the version 4 series?
