OK I tried the basic (free) edition, liked it and so purchased a 12 month licence, it installed like a dream, superb,I have downloaded and tried about 20 such directories but this one for me is the best.
OK now for what may be a politically incorrect question? is it possible to purchase, beg, borrow, or steal a ready to go data base already loaded with cat's and links etc.
Well, the DMOZ makes their data available and there's an importer to import it to WSN -- but the DMOZ requires that you place their crediting notice on all pages that use their data. If you don't display the credit bar thing they'll send a pack of editors after you, each carrying an ax, so don't think about that.
Also, the importer relies on TulipChain which can't handle categories that have more than 1,000 or so links in them. Only useful for a specialized directory.
