Now I see {NUMBER} working fine presenting all numbers correctly from top to bottom regardless of the linktype. Previously I had regenerated counts without effect.
If you change the orders of types in the template offline then the typeorder field could be off for a bit, but when using the template editor it should update automatically.

{NUMBER} should start counting from the first link showed from top to bottom.
For sponsored link types {NUMBER} is working correctly counting from the first link type showed.
The dificulty is that {NUMBER} is always starting counting first the Regular types regardless of their position on the listing.
