Hi

I was changing a few of the PHP files in one of my WSN links installations today and found a PHP file called nochex.php

How do you use it? Is Nochex supported?

I hope so because because a few weeks ago I have invested in a Full Nochex Merchant accout.

Hi everyone,

I have paid Paul to customize WSNLINKS to abe able to use Nochex, it is not a live feature as yet

At the moment we are having a few problems getting values transferred back
from the APC script

I have a posting on the Nochex forum at the moment regarding the problem, as Paul has detailed it to me

If any of you are absolute experts when it comes to using Nochex, all input back regarding this mod would be good

My thread on the nochex forum is

http://greenroom.nochex.com/showthread.php?t=10206

Note for Paul:

Perhaps you could put the teething problems we are having with this in more detailed way on this forum,
just in case there are a couple of Nochex experts in this forum

The basic problem is that the item_number and linkid you see in the form in 4.0.9's sponsorship template are disappearing into the void, I can't see if/where nocheck is returning those values. If anyone knows how to pass/receive values with nochex, let me know.

Since it does return the order id maybe I can hijack that into becoming the link id.

I don't see how that's paypal's fault, chargebacks are a fact of life. Someone just pulled a $200 chargeback on me more than a month after downloading WSN Links (having never asked for a refund), but that can happen with any payment processor. At least paypal gives me a token chance to dispute it, unlike 2checkout, and I've had fewer chargebacks via paypal as well. Blame the credit card companies for being biased in favor of the customers.

PayPal gave us no chance to dispute it and failed to give us any info, reason or evidence of any possible fraud to warrant the chargeback. They took the money and basically said tough - if we wanted further information we would have to get the police involved. They would only give information to police with a warrant. The police don't want to know. Many people have gone over to Nochex for the same reason and there are many similar cases, both found on the internet and hearing from people I know.

I don't see how paypal can be expected to give evidence to warrant the chargeback when they have no idea why the chargeback was granted (well, beyond a one word reason they get, like the "unauthorized" in my latest case). Credit card companies do chargebacks and paypal simply relays the costs on to you. Anyhow when there's a chargeback they email me and tell me I can enter details in the resolution center to help them dispute it. They will probably fail to get the chargeback reversed, sure, but it's not a matter under their control.
