I get the following message when I try to configure:
Your languages directory is not writable, so the language file cannot be copied. Either the directory is not chmoded to 777 or the server permissions do not allow a file to be copied (most likely php is running in safe mode). You will have to manually move the file /languages/setup/languages/setup/englishonly.lng to /languages/default.lng in order to select your languages properly.
Failed! Please check the database info you supplied and try again. Make sure you have granted your MySQL user permission to access the specified database -- sometimes people forget.
I changed the permissions to 777 and 666's where applicable. I copied the englishonly.lng to languages/englishonly.lng and deleted the setup file. I'm new to mysql but I did create a database and a user and that's not the problem.
I deleted all of the files for the old website (was using site-sift before) and uploaded all of the wsn files. I'm thinking I deleted stuff that wasn't supposed to be deleted. Any help is appreciated.
