I need some help badly in imporating wsnlinks( 3.4.7) database to wsnlinks(5.0.77). I have installed the newer version and now when i am trying to import the database of older version its not working. I am aware of other solutions like upgrade, however i have a tipical suituation where i wont be able to use it. Please advice.
There are no situations where you can't upgrade, and what you're doing amounts to half-upgrading with all the bad parts and none of the good parts (like actually working). Do not attempt to upload old database content into new database tables, that'll never work.
The upgrade procedure is in the readme.html file -- essentially, after you've uploaded your old database, you upload the new files and run upgrade.php.
If you don't have the old files, that's ok, you can upload the new files with the old config.php and run upgrade.php from there.
