I received a few complaints from members that they were receiving blank emails from our site.. and sure enough if I view the outgoing email log there are tons of them mixed in with non-blank emails.

They seem to get sent to 2-3 members at the same time from an IP (not mine)with the same time stamp, but its NOT the same members each time these blanks are sent. I checked to make sure they didn't have notify of all new links or anything checked.

Its worth mentioning that for the first time yesterday I (the administrator) also received one of these blank emails.

Also, I have email type set to plain text and am running 3.4.6.

Any idea what could be going on?
Thanks,
Ariana

I've never recieved one and don't know what the cause could be (some sort of subscription perhaps), but in the current version it only sends if there's a message. Uploaded a 3.4.7 with that change in it now (along with a clearer notification of death for when your host upgrades to PHP 5.2).

Thanks Paul,
I really appreciate that! Did you only change one file? If so and you could tell me which that would save me tons of time..
Thanks again!

commonfuncs.php, but if you do php changesyou should keep them in modification files for easy upgrading.

Great, thanks. I didn't change the PHP, just didn't want to upload all those files unneccesarily!

You should use an FTP client that has a "select all" function. There were bug fixes involved, though they were so long ago that I don't recall what, would have to do a file comparison.
