My directory requires me to login twice most of the time, ever since I upgrade to v4. This happens both in Admin Panel and on the main site for members.

Have you tried deleting cookies of all the browsers you could have ?

As a general comment, that can happen when two WSN installs have cookies in the same path, best solved by changing the cookie names or path.
