I searched through the manual and the forums... there's probably a simple way to do this, but I couldn't figure it out.

I would like to search through all categories except certain ones. Can I pass a conditional or these IDs to the search script?

You can restrict to particular categories in a search, but to eliminate particular ones I don't see any way to eliminate more than one.
