Comments on HTML in content not working???

My idea is to show a custom template in particular category by adding [INSERTFILE=customtemplate] into the custom category field but when i would like to show it i get this on that page [INSERTFILE=customtemplate] and not the affiliate template can someone help me? How can i do that with custom fields? Paul if you can help i would really appreciated.

Typing it in a field is nonsensical. If you want to use a custom template for a category, type the template's name where it asks.
