Hey everyone, With the option of hiding a link I am guessing it sends an email to the owner of the link... at least in the language it shows under "Emails" it shows "Your link, {LINKTITLE} ({LINKURL}) has been suspended. No reciprocal link could be found on the page you specified ({LINKRECIPURL}) and so your site has been removed from the directory listings until a return link is placed. Please send a reply email whenever you've added a link to {MYURL}... at that time your site will be re-checked and restored to its previous position in the listings at {DIRURL}/index.php?action=displaycat&catid={LINKCATID}
So I am guessing an email should be dispatched when a link is hidden but no emails are being sent, at least no emails are making to me during a test run and when I change to no under Hide Link I still get no emails so how can I get this function to work... Its a really nice function if it will work for me so what do I need to do so emails will be sent out when I hide a link and when I unhide the link.
This is the Support Forum for WSN Links is it not???
This script I purchased is not working right, at least I dont feel it is and so far support is very lacking...
Has anyone ever had to hide a link and know for certain an email got sent to the person that link belongs to?
In the email language of the admin it shows two different pieces of text...
1) {LANG_EMAIL_SUSPENDBODY} - Your link, {LINKTITLE} ({LINKURL}) has been suspended. No reciprocal link could be found on the page you specified.... etc...
2) {LANG_EMAIL_RESTORELINKBODY} Your link, {LINKTITLE}, has been re-verified and restored to its position in the directory..... etc...
Its apparent these two should send out emails, once when the link is hidden and once when you unhide the link and this is not going on with my site...
Search4Blogs.com is getting great SE traffic and Im getting a good fair amount of submissions but with all the type of site some people think the can get away with mot giving a reciprocal link and the hide function is a great function if it would work but so far I have not had any luck with it so I am hoping someone here that has used this "HIDE" function can tell me what might be wrong.

Then you may take a refund and leave.

I have no idea why you would leap to such a random guess, let alone be so sure of it as to conclude it to be a bug, but hiding and suspending are unrelated activities. Hiding a link is for hiding a link. Suspending is a link checker function as is unsuspending (as are marking as suspect etc), they have nothing to do with the hide option.
Whats up with "Then you may take a refund and leave."
Is that how you treat people that are making you money... thats not right at all...
I have been posting different things here and so far the support is very lacking to say the least...
I cant believe you started the post with "Then you may take a refund and leave."
Answer this...

Is this not a function that goes with the HIDE function... if not is there a way to set things up so when a link is hiden it will dispatch an email to the owner of that link... and also when that same link is unhidden it would also dispatch a link to the owner....
I still cant believe you acted so harsh to a paying customer...
Also, I dont believe I posted this in your Bug Report forum...

Money isn't the only priority in life. (I enjoy helping out most customers, which I like to think is why most of them seem to have a favorable opinion of my support, but when someone makes it difficult I invite them to take their money back and go seek a place with dedicated customer support specialists who care only about the money if they wish.) You're perfectly welcome to not make me money -- you are not compelled to be a customer, I will let you take a refund and leave with no objection if you are not happy. If you are unhappy here that would surely make things much better for both of us.
Is this not a function that goes with the HIDE function...
As I just stated in my previous post, it is completely unrelated to the 'hide' option. It is completely 100% related to the 'restore' option (hence the name) which is in turn related to the 'suspend' option.
if not is there a way to set things up so when a link is hiden it will dispatch an email to the owner of that link... and also when that same link is unhidden it would also dispatch a link to the owner....
Again that is not the purpose of the 'hide' option. It is, on the other hand, the purpose of the 'suspend' and 'restore' options.

Hey Paul,
How do I use 'suspend' and 'restore' options. I cant find that anywhere in the admin or when I go to a link and hit edit... I only see Hide Link...
If you can tell me how to do this I would appreciate it...
