You accomplish nothing, not increasing the speed even a millisecond, but you're free to do so. It won't remove all traces of tags since there's the links tags field too... blanking that would make slightly more speed difference, but still unmeasurably small.

Hi,
I want to disable tagging but I want also to delete all tags which are inserted till now. How can I do that?

You can't without phpmyadmin, but since you're switching them off it doesn't matter.

Is it okay to erase all rows of the *_tags table, or have I to recalculate some other vars in other tables?
