have you written the guestbook part in a way that the admin has to approve every submitted submission to a guestbook?
and let me ask you,when i just looked at the configuration i cant seem to find a setting that comments needs to be approved.. so basically everything can be spammed ?
I commented on a site using IE as browser,and i wasnt logged in.....just a regular visitor and i could comment and as admin i didnt received any admin mail.... That doesnt look safe does it...
And very interesting is the LINE ..COMMENT ON: After that nothing,and it gives you the idea it should show something...
Comments on comment added....huh...comment to what?

Comment validation is there in the usergroup permissions with everything else.

If comments are set to require approval, then guestbook comments will also.
