I went with the default cache settings for the guest membergroup only. When the page is viewed by the guest the cache is generated, however when refreshing that page it "blank screens".
I don't see how the template involved could make any difference.
The only cache error I know of in 4.0.20 is some people get "*Fatal error*: Call to a member function on a non-object"... could be you have your debug level set to suppress errors.

I believe my permissions are correct. Could my old templates be causing issues? if so can you give a hint as to which parts deal with the cache?
