Move some listings with the function "Bulk edit/move/delete links" can cause problems. I moved some listings to another category. This seemed to work well. The listings appears in the other category. So I deleted the old category.
After this all the links disappeared.
Sometimes this works without faults and sometimes not. This is a problem. How can I trust this function?
Is the solution to "regenerate categories" before the deletion?
Deleting a category can't impact how a different category behaves unless there's some sort of aliasing going on. There's no record of what former categories the links have been in, it can't know.
If you assigned listings to secondary categories and then deleted the category that contained the originals, then they would disappear from the secondary categories. Are you sure that's not what you did?
Yes I am sure. I have no alias category. I am real puzzled cause I have no idea how this bug can work. It seams to be impossible but unfortunately this is exactly what happens.

I've added an extra query whenever {CATLINKSHERE} is 0 make sure it should really be 0, to prevent it hiding stuff when there is content.
