The avatar doesn't show in the forum. It should only show on the comments as I have edited it out of other templates.

I wondered if it was because the links is integrated with the forum and the avatar was loaded from the links side. But I removed it and reloaded it from the forum side and it still doesn't show.

What url is it? Right click -> Image Properties in your browser.

I can't see why it'd give a 403 instead of a 404. Anyhow, is the directory 777?

the attachments directory is 777. The parent forum directory is 755, which I take it as correct as I just changed it to 777 and got a 404
