When a link submitter submits a links with an Apostrophe in it, it doesn't display as ' it displays as &# 39; (but without the space)

Is there a way to fix this?

Links - regular
Usergroup - member (Normal member unchanged)

Was all fine until 5.0.1 and then lots apostrophe did not work. Links that were already in the directory, not new links. I have tried to edit to fix it, but still doesn't work.

All my old links with apostrophes look normal just like the new ones.

i just spent 20 minutes baffled as to where an "example url field" could be on my site and how I could have accidentally filled it in to cause the error lol. Shows I need sleep.

Here is a prime example url www.weddingserviceproviders...r-teeth-whitening-409.html

Hi Paul

Take a look at this...

validator.w3.org/check?uri=...%29&doctype=Inline&group=0

The first warning, do you think that is the cause?

I just fixed this, not an ideal fix, but it worked...

I used word censor and replaced ' with '

Strange, I wonder why it is using ' in the html?

& # 3 9 ; is what it's supposed to use, that's an HTML entity which means the same thing -- but you never see that in viewing the page, you see the result. Were you viewing the source??

Yeah thats fair enough, I have fixed it using the word replacement in admin, I cant leave it as it was for you to see bacause I have a lot of customers on the site this week.

To be honest I think it may be my own code, or the HTML header, not sure yet, I'll have a play around with it. I;m pretty certain now that it isnt the script at fault.
