Let's say I do a fresh install of this v5.x and chnage my templates drastically (say every line of every template file)
Later when upgrades are released, how much would the upgrading affect my customisation? Will this be same as what exists today in 4.x release stream? or will it be different in 5.x release stream?
The difference is that unaltered lines in altered files are now automatically updated (if there's enough unaltered context to make the section unique), and the non-automatic changes are displayed with a few lines of context from the old version's template instead of the line numbers.
(say every line of every template file)
That would of course render all template update mechanisms helpless and be equally hopeless a situation in any version.
And of course if you were doing that you should rethink what you're doing, because there's absolutely no justification for doing that.
Hi, I have error reporting set to show errors to admins only.
I am getting the following error when regenerating links...
An error occoured at www.weddingserviceproviders...alidated=&skippermissions= on 2008-08-02 21:24:36. Please relay this data to support. Error #2: 'Invalid argument supplied for foreach()' in /home/sites/weddingserviceproviders.co.uk/public_html/classes/onelink.php on line 146.
The links do regenerate but the error comes up for every link.
Also the following error when viewing link details pages...
An error occoured at www.weddingserviceproviders...en=1&action=detail&id=1327 on 2008-08-02 21:27:09. Please relay this data to support. Error #2: 'Invalid argument supplied for foreach()' in /home/sites/weddingserviceproviders.co.uk/public_html/classes/onelink.php on line 146.
When adding a listing I get...
An error occoured at www.weddingserviceproviders...hp?action=addlink&filled=1 on 2008-08-02 21:31:27. Please relay this data to support. Error #2: 'strstr() [function.strstr]: Empty delimiter' in /home/sites/weddingserviceproviders.co.uk/public_html/suggest.php on line 1035
In admin panel, if I go to search log, I get...
An error occoured at www.weddingserviceproviders....co.uk/admin/searchlog.php on 2008-08-02 21:32:34. Please relay this data to support. Error #2: 'require_once(../classes/searche.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory' in /home/sites/weddingserviceproviders.co.uk/public_html/includes/prestart.php on line 17.
when viewing comments it only shows the latest comment, so when you have to comments it only displays #2.
This is also true when using the combined details and comments template,
Please explain the circumstances required to reproduce this, or which area you're talking about. It sounds to me like this page: http://www.webmastersite.net/screenshots/8934.jpg (where, as the the screenshot shows, there are multiple comments... and of course, my forum members would notice if they couldn't read more than one post a thread)

Sorry Paul. Looking into it I see that it is only the internal replies. When you do an internal reply it hides the original comment.
BTW, I am getting two copies of the email notification.

Also I have noticed that if you edit a link, {TOTALLINKS} goes up by one until you regenerate.

Fixed the first four.

Do you have an alias for each link?

Alias-related totals are off in various ways. Fixes for it will wait until RC1.

Changes aren't listed for pre-releases. They're assorted bug fixes, too many to list.

I'm unable to reproduce that message, but made a change which may eliminate it for you.
