hello, i did change vote values from "Vote Values: Minimum 1 to maximum 5" to "Vote Values: Minimum 1 to maximum 4" but i allways get 5 stars on the site description and also from 1 to 5 in the form Thank you
i forgot to say it was done in settings / functionality.
Anyway, i worked a little and i : - modified the four following templates (suppression of the fifth level) in customization/templates: Vote Vote Confirmation Show Voting Code Show Votes - modified the five images stars0.gif to stars4.gif (for having only four stars represented) in default and also multilingual - changed also the two "voting" for each language i use, english and french, in customization/languages
Is there anything else to do ?
(and now i don't see what the change i was talking about in my first post is for ?)
1 - "If you don't edit your template, you template won't change. Remove the "5" option from the voting template if you don't want it. " i wrote : i modified the four following templates (suppression of the fifth level) in customization/templates: Vote Vote Confirmation Show Voting Code Show Votes
my "vote template" and your "voting template" are the same one, aren't they ? (in "link templates")
2 - "This is therefore only useful for a new site that doesn't have any votes." yes, of course, mine is quite new
Well, if you have no '5' option in the template, where are you seeing it? It couldn't be showing if it weren't in the template of the page you're seeing it on.
what i mean is there are many templates to be modified; the list is in my previous post and i found one more : "link details" ... or maybe, there is another spot than Customizations/templates for this changes and only one modification somewhere else !?

If you don't edit your template, you template won't change. Remove the "5" option from the voting template if you don't want it.
Old votes, of course, will not be changed. This is therefore only useful for a new site that doesn't have any votes.

"...template of the page you're seeing it on"
