Not sure what you mean by duplicated. It looks as expected to me.

Possible I fixed whatever it was earlier and forgot about it, I suppose.

hmm, you wouldn't be able to see the site I'm talking about smiling face

I upgraded, then I edited the link, cleared all the secondary links, saved so it was just in the one category. I then edited and entered just one secondary - that was ok so I added another secondary category and it is no longer duplicating smiling face

Haven't come across anything else (yet <G>)

This is a new install, v. 5.1.0 beta 7 www.123photographs.co.uk/ph...ographydirectory/index.php

On the home page (main.tpl) if there are no sub categories the category name duplicates. I have added "test" as a sub-cat of site help and information so that you can see. The other categories do not have sub-cats.

Whilst I have modified the main.tpl, I have not touched the categories table.

Doesn't happen on any site I have or can create. Post your main.tpl and I'll look at it.

Here's what it shows after submitting a category while using your copy of main.tpl.

Did you try adding a sub-category? perhaps it breaks then. Otherwise, why is it showing it on my site?

Added subcategory. Still normal. You can fill in the site inspection form if you want.

Have just upgraded a site from 4.1.77 to 5.0 then on to 5.1 series. All seemed to go reasonably smoothly. Having to redo all my customised templates, but that's no problem.

Type Manager did not like the fact that I had various link types which all had their own linkbit and it was really messed up with my added linktypes having a blank name and no linkbit details for regular type. In trying to fix it through the type manager it kept saying "Cannot write to the file ! You must chmod it to 666.Cannot write to the file !" Didn't say which files it was trying to modify so I chmod all template files to 666. That didn't work and it still tells me I must chmod the file.

All template files are 666 so which file?

I uploaded the default template to work on.

On this same site in type manager I removed all the types with a blank display name, then tried to add a new linktype. It just comes up with a white screen with "can't find in " at the top.

You shouldn't need to, actually, unless you want the new features -- but the prompt for whether you want to keep customizations or not is only half-implemented at the moment.

I need to see the template code you're using.

I was not using any particular link code.

Having been playing about with it I had installed the default displaylinks.tpl and just added the additional link type (newsletter) that I required, so they were all just using the default linkbit.

Using the type manager I adjusted my newsletter type. Whilst it threw the same error ie "Cannot write to the file ! You must chmod it to 666.Cannot write to the file ! You must chmod it to 666.Cannot write to the file ! You must chmod it to 666." it appeared to update the templates and I note that the displaylinks, search and searchall files were all updated.

In attempting to add a new link type it threw the wording "can't find in " at the top and did not add the new linktype.

Upload the attached to /admin/. Works for my scenarios.

Just a few more things to check before RC 1.
