I want to create a search functionality similar to yell.com
There fill be two search form fields... Find What, and Find Where.
So for example if the user puts - Accountants - in the first form field, and then - London - in the secon form field, the search page will return listings for Accountants in London.
My Idea is to create a custom link field where listing owners can list thier products and services, and this will be thie field that gives results for the Search what? part of the search box.
Then another link field where they can list the towns, counties and post code areas they cover, and this will give results for the Search where? pert of the form.
However, as well as the new link fields, I would also like the Search What? part of the form to take results from the Category name field.
... and I would also like the Search where part of the form to take results from three cstom fields I have already set up... Town, County and Post Code.
What I am asking is can I set up a form such that it only takes results from several specific link fields, but different link fields for each search form field?
Also what would be the best form HTML? What other setting should I take into account.
Maybe I am thinking of this the wrong way and there is a more simple way to create a search funcionality such as this.
