Shortening length of a custom field...: WSN Support Forums

Title	Shortening length of a custom field...
Message Text	when displayed. Hi, i'm using the 'description' field and would like to know if a shortened length version of it can be displayed elsehwere. Say i want to only show the first 100 characters of the total description... On some pages i'd display the whole description, on others, i just want a snippet of it. thanks
