I use an Intel Mac for handling administrative functions our WSN Directory database. I have run into some browser issues. At the moment I am relying upon Firefox 3.0.14, but even that isn't working all the time. Safari 4.0.4 seems useless for handling admin functions for WSN Directory.
The problem seems to be one of data entered into various fields failing to respond to changes I make. For example, in the secondary category field, I attempt to remove a string of numbers, trying to correct a mistake for a particular listing, and repeated attempts to remove the numbers fail. You delete the relevant data, you hit submit, you get a message that the data has been updated, you then go back and the data you thought you removed is still there.
My colleague, operating on Windows and also Firefox, is not having this issue.
IS WSN tested on Macs?
Does anyone out there who uses a Mac have suggestions on which browser is best to use? Can the programmer suggest underlying code changes that might make this problem go away? We can certainly hack our code if necessary if you can suggest something. |
