this sucks :( email function down again |

Hey guys,
1)I am getting this error below when I try to test the sendmail function to members in the email section of admin panel.
When I do all I see is the below message and no member selected.
Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/hostgame/public_html/classes/database.php on line 82
2)my recommend link is not working although my report link is. Dont they use the same email system? I am receiving email reports on problem links but nothing if I recommend link to myself?
Note: Regarding email function not working host said it was an 'Seems that it was an arp issue, I've cleared your VPS IPs from the arp cache and e-mails are going through fine now.' So there was no problems with wsnlink email output.
What the heck is that?
