article in mutliple languages
Posted Jun 14, 2012 - 2:15 PM:
Hello Paul
Would it be possible in WSN Knowledge Base, be able to create an article in several languages, when creating or editing this article, and that this article is automatically displayed in the language chosen by the user, if this Article available in several languages, if not the main language this article.
I just saw that this is possible: Enter article and category details in mutliple languages and show the visitor the version for their selected language.
But I can not find this option in the admin, what should we do to enable this option?
Thank you in advance for your response. Cordially.
That's good,butnot exactly whatI want to do. Iwould like to getthe textof the article withthe WYSIWYG editor,I think I sawthis option oncebutit disappeared. Herethe textisasimpletext boxand Ido not knowto putHTML codeas inthe original article.
In addition,in the templates,there seems to besomethingnot normal,the TD tagandTEXTAREAare not open,is this normal?
I gather you want there to be a bunch of WYSIWYG editors on the same page, one for the text for each language? That's not possible right now and would be a fairly complex project. If you need it, I could do it soon as a $75 custom project.

You just have to add fields for it and it should then work automatically, see scripts.webmastersite.net/w...k.php?action=detail&id=220
The body of the article is the 'text' field, so secondlanguagename_text.

Hello Paul
That's good, but not exactly what I want to do.
I would like to get the text of the article with the WYSIWYG editor, I think I saw this option once but it disappeared.
Here the text is a simple text box and I do not know to put HTML code as in the original article.
In addition, in the templates, there seems to be something not normal, the TD tag and TEXTAREA are not open, is this normal?
Template Custom Article Fields
" rows="5" cols="45">{LINKENGLISHSTANDARD}
" rows="5" cols="45">{LINKFULLENGLISHTEXT}
" size="{STANDARDSIZE}" value="{LINKFULLENGLISHTITLE}" >
" rows="5" cols="45">{LINKFULLENGLISHDESCRIPTION}
" rows="5" cols="45">{LINKFULLENGLISHTEXT}
Template Custom Category Fields
e" size="{STANDARDSIZE}" value="{CATFULLENGLISHNAME}" >
" rows="5" cols="45">{CATFULLENGLISHDESCRIPTION}
" rows="5" cols="45">{CATFULLENGLISHDESCRIPTION}
So I cancel all pending your response.
Cordially.

It works fine if I copy / paste the HTML code.

Hello Paul and thank you for your response.
I think with a copy / paste the source code of my translation, it will work fine.
In case of problems, I know change in the database with phpmyadmin.
If it really does not work as I want, it will still be time to think about this customization of the script.
Cordially.
