I didn't change anything. You'll need to switch on the level-based category selector if you haven't yet, and switch off the regular category selector. The level selector won't appear on the import page through, so you'll have a text input box to type a category id number there.

Hi everyone,
I am trying to add new categories from the admin area.
The category selector is limited to 1064 categories.
Consequently I cannot add new sub-categories to the main categories.
How can I use the drop down selector with more than 1064 categories?
Or can you provide an example of a flat file with tiered sub-categories.
Maincat1
-Subcat1
-Subcat2
-Subcat3
--subsub1
--subsub2
--subsub3
---subsubsub1
---subsubsub2
Maincat2
Maincat3
Or is there another way to add the categories. A phpmyadmin import look difficult.
