Anyway, Paul. I can't see any of those tests. Not even the simplest, which is a blank page for me
This makes no sense at all then, it's even simpler than the demo you said you can see. The only other idea I have is that your browser can't handle it when the page has an HTML 5 declaration, let's try it without that:
I gather the ckeditor forum people just yell at anyone who uses the jquery adapter, so let's try the regular version. Do you get that same error or a different one in IE with http://scripts.webmastersite.net/test/cktest8.html ?
My IE 8 on XP Home continues not showing any errors and working correctly.
Thanks to someone on the ckeditor forums I think I've finally figured out that this was happening to people in the UK because I deleted the en-gb language file to save space and it's not smart enough to fall back to the en language file. The demo pages above should work now as I've uploaded the extra language files. Unfortunately this means shipping a megabyte of languages including four different regional variations of English. But hey, at least you'll get those extraneous "u"s you guys love so much.
urrm, FOUR different regional variations of English?? Didn't know there was such a thing. I know that there is English and American-English but what on earth are the other two?
I have always had a lot of probs with FCK Editor so hoping that this one doesn't have those issues ? Off on holiday now so will look at it more when I get back
Canadian (probably appends "eh" to everything) and Australian (presumably adds a lot of mates and a few references to dingos and barbies).
What sort of problems with FCKEditor? Any lost formatting was probably the result of my trying to convert it all into WSN codes, which shouldn't be an issue now as it leaves as HTML whatever it can't convert.
This is on the Gallery 6.0.0 beta7 version. I wasn't able to add a new topic to the gallery forum, I kept getting an error that I was entering an invalid version so figured this would be the next best place to post.
Without making any changes to the templates I was getting an error on the combined details & comments template. I believe I figured out where the extra tag is. There seems to be an extra </IF> on line 216.
Here is what I showed for the lines from 213 - 217
<br />Type the letters and numbers shown on the left into the box on the right (this is to prevent automated submissions).</td> <td><img src="securityimage.php" class="bullet" alt="{LANG_ALT_SECIMAGE}" /> <input type="text" name="securityimage" size="4" maxlength="4" /> </td> </tr> </IF> </table>
I removed that closing IF and the template worked. Figured I'd let you know so you can fix it on your end.
BTW Paul, I can't see the editor on my gallery install either. All the examples you've posted work fine for me though.
Running WinXP SP3, IE8 (with or without compatibility mode on)
I'm also experiencing the bug you mentioned with the comments. Comments system is on, and as an admin (or member) I should be allowed to comment, but I get "Sorry, you don't have permission to post."
Oh, and have to take a sec to just say that I'm am absolutely LOVING all the improvements! Love the install walkthrough, love the style designer, love the bulk upload and I'm sure there's a whole lot more that I haven't noticed yet. :-)
On the calendar, when you click on the date the page states "Events scheduled for " and the date it gives is the day prior to the date you clicked. It schedules it for the correct date and shows up on the calendar correctly, just that one line and the date in the navigation shows up incorrectly.
If you upgraded to one of the earlier betas, it'll take two autoupgrades to get the ckeditor files loaded. You can also manually upload the ckeditor directory.
Fixed the calendar bug.
The change you made to the details+comments page is wrong -- it'll make it show up but behave incorrectly. That area of the template needs to be changed to look like this:
I'm also experiencing the bug you mentioned with the comments. Comments system is on, and as an admin (or member) I should be allowed to comment, but I get "Sorry, you don't have permission to post."
To my knowledge I didn't mention that and I don't see it. Can't imagine what scenario could cause that...
Thanks Paul. Updated the details & comments template to the newer version and am now able to comment which also allows me to open up the advanced comment page which loads the editor correctly.
As for the comments bug I mentioned, I was referring to the one mentioned in your first post under Known bugs. Obviously, I read the line wrong (I must have seen comments & gallery and stopped reading!). In any case fixing the template error resulted in fixing the comments 'bug'.
Ok, found something else for you. Again, on details & comments page (after updating the template - and with no other customizations) When adding a tag I get the following at the top of the page, but the tag actually was added.
Error occurred at hifalls.net/pics/link.php?a...on=addtags&filled=1&id=175 on 2010-09-29 01:35:07. Hey Paul, Following is based on using WSN Gallery 6.0.0 Beta 12
1 - I noticed that when clicking on "Add New Image", I'm given the bulk uploader option, but since I'm only allowed to attach 1 file only 1 actually gets submitted. I think it would make sense to not have the bulk uploader option on that page. Obviously, if there's a reason why you show it then let me know and I'll remove it from my own templates only.
2 - When using the bulk uploader if I select more images than what is allowed (I left the default which is 20 files) only the first 20 are submitted. I was wondering if it was possible to add an 'x' next to each file that gets uploaded so that after I recieve the warning regarding the excess images I can then select the file I want removed before submission. I believe something like this is available on WSN Links when submitting attachments. It would also be useful when realizing that I selected the wrong file after the upload started.

Nope. Can't see that either. FF doesn't show errors, but I did try it in IE and it shows this error...
Line: 47
Char: 2011
Error: 'lang.contextmenu.options' is null or not an object
Code: 0
I have just downloaded Opera to test it and I can actually see it in that browser

Bulk uploader - comments
Hey Paul,
Following is based on using WSN Gallery 6.0.0 Beta 12
