I understand how to add custom fields for attachemnts, and it always works fine, however I just tried to create a custom file field for calendar events, and no matter what I do I cannot get thumbnails or images to show. Can file fields be created for events?

Custom file fields aren't currently applicable to events -- just listings, categories, comments, members and private messages. Working on it for 6.0.
