I've been trying to upgrade from 5.0.30 to 5.0.34 for a couple of days now, but whenever I click the autoupgrade button it tells me "The archive could not be downloaded from the WSN server. It's possible the WSN server is down at the moment." I downloaded the whole package and the readme file only tells me to autoupgrade, no info on manually upgrading... can I just upload everything and use upgrade.php?
I saw this issue yesterday and fixed the problem. I don't see any way to reproduce it today. Just tested upgrading another site while writing this post, no problems.
Obviously I can't ignore it, but neither can I do anything about it until someone clicks the link I gave in post #6 and takes the offer there for the completely free upgrade. Please click and fill out the form.
I was upgrading 5.0.34 installs before, so I tried a 5.0.25 to see if the source version mattered... nope, that one upgraded fine too.
I filled out the form I'm not sure the problem is in the verion of wsn. I have 3 sites, they were all version 3.0.33. I've upgraded 2 of them to the version 3.0.34. The day after I went to upgrade the third site to the version 3.0.34 but it failed and I got that message (The archive could not be downloaded from the WSN server. It's possible the WSN server is down at the moment. ). By that day (it was a week ago) I've tried to update but nothing. So I have 2 sites at 3.0.34 and one at 3.0.33. Before to fill the form - right now - I've tried again to upgrade but again nothing. Please note that I'm using wsn since the 5.0.00 and the upgrade was always working correctly. Also I did not change anything in my server. I hope this may be of help to better understand the problem.
Paul - getting this problem too - have completed request form
[edit] On some sites I am now getting the same problem as previously. ie it tells me that 5.0.34 is up to date. I have run the servertest.php which reports pass for everything
Looks like debug mode was activated (breaking downloads) for regular customer logins, but not for my own customer account, because I'm in the admin usergroup. Fixed.
it tells me that 5.0.34 is up to date.
I've seen this a couple times. Seems to mean that my server is taking too long to respond. I'm extending the allowed download time from 5 to 9 seconds, though I can't see why downloading a simple text file is sometimes taking 5+ seconds.

Unfortunately that has not done the trick. I have filled in the form again if you wish to take a look.
[edit] 1½ hours later I went in to admin and it was ok - theupgrade button was there!!! Tried another site, yep that was telling me to upgrade too.

Paul, I'm still getting this problem. Sometimes when I log in to admin it takes ages for the overview page come up and often then it tells me my (out-of-date) version is up to date. Another time I'll go in and the overview page loads immediately.
So I guess I can't always believe it when it tells me I have the latest version, and will just have to check another time.

The archive could not be downloaded from the WSN server. It's possible the WSN server is down at the moment.
can this be fixed please ?

I'd be happy to check why it's not working from your site: scripts.webmastersite.net/w...tom=yes&TID=upgradeservice

Hi Paul,
I filled out the form
