1. How to go by changing in Admin > Add Link > Type of Link drop-down selection to combo instead? 2. How to retain pre-selected options or values with a coookie to avoid repetitive clicking to set values or options over and over? 3. Using cookies could also avoid the need on clicking NO for "Allow further comments?" 4. Whick file(s) should be edited to achieve the required result?
1. Define "combo" in this context. The only thing I can think of is a multiselector, which is illogical since links only have one type. 2. Explain. Where, what? 3. You want to to lock a thread every time you edit it? Then why have the comments system on at all? Just switch off comments. 4. Explain where a file is involved with what.
1. That's what I meant... 2. While logged in as Admin and trying to add a new link. 3. Didn't know this could be switched off 4. I think you have anwered this already
PS. You have explained how to add the option for featured, sponsored links but how would I then specify this using bulk upload? If I was to add another field say 2ndURL (1 URL for normal links and another for affiliate URLs) could I then still bulk upload?
1. Logically impossible then. 2. Retain after what? An incomplete message? All the values I've noticed are retained. 3. Admin -> Settings -> Switches -> Comments
PS. There are various different ways of bulk uploading. If you mean the Admin -> Additions -> Add New Items one then no, that doesn't allow specifying the type. All the options on the import page do, except for the scrape links option.
