I finally got the integration to work and now i stumbled upon another issue.

Once i updated the vbulletin.php integration file with my vblicense number im unable to log into wsn links. If i remove my license info it works again. Currently integration is not working well for me since the two systems dont reconize that im logged in on either one.

The version of vb im using is 3.74

Ive checked this on both browsers.

Just look at your cookie domain. See if they match up.

My vbulletin settings are default which is "blank" . What do i match it up with? the integration file is that clear to understand.

Not sure how vbulletin sets it's cookies up or how your set up is. But look at the settings in WSN Links. Try settings --> system configuration set as it is there by default.

BTW, don't forget to clear your own browser cookies to test things. Some times they get confused.

http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=96078 implies that the vBulletin password cookie format is md5(md5(md5($thepasswordyoutyped) . $salt), $vblicense) but that appears not to be the case anymore. Maybe "$hardcoded_s tring" is now something other than the license number or maybe the format is completely different.

The less outdated www.governmentsecurity.org/.../index.php?showtopic=26499 says the same thing though.

Looking into possibilities as far as possible without being a vB customer.

Upgraded to the lastest version and tested it out. I was able to input the license number and login with the same username and password.

Im still having a issue with automatically being logged in from logging in either system first. More likely i will be using vbulletins login system first.

Not having the login carry over is probably a path/domain issue. A cookie domain of .yoursite.com (two dots) in both scripts (with a path blank or /) would make it available anywhere on your domain. In WSN this is at Admin -> Settings -> System, I can't tell you where it is in vBulletin.
