Current Status.

I've been testing member sponsorship all day today, made a couple test payments over the span of two or three days and

1) Admin> Review Payments is NOT UPDATING only showing the first payment (made 12/12 not today's dated 12/14).
2) User's membergroup is NOT being UPGRADED to appropriate usergroup (I ran the crons to see if this would quicken this event but NOTHING)
3) Funds still NOT BEING ADDED TO USER'S FUNDS and past searches indicate this should be IMMEDIATE especially if there is money in the paypal account paying for the membership.

Current set up:

Group 1/guest registers > becomes Group 8 (links to activate account on memberhome) > 8 activates account via membersponsor to be group 7 (full access) (but db not updating usergroup as stated above).

If Group 7 is expired > sponsorship reverts to Group 2 (limited access with expiration reminders on memberhome).

That all suggests that the IPN with the payment processor isn't working. If you're using paypal and doing sandbox test payments, that would require setting a $paypalsandbox tweak since it doesn't work the same as the real paypal.

Well, I haven't tried the sandbox because it errors out and is too hard to set up (in my opinion) so I've been practicing with live paypal setting the package for 1$.

Using paypal and IPN is set correctly....pointed to: http://www.xxxxxx.com/dir/paypal.php

Everything always works for you. wink

I am asking my client to let me into his paypal account to verify he did what I told him to do. Will report back soon.

UPDATE - Checked client's paypal account, IPN on and pointed correctly.

SO why isn't it working? Is there another paypal account setting that isn't in the manual but must be ON/OFF for this to work?

Please help with this issue as it's the main one that keeps my client from truly launching full force.

If we have to pay you to fish out any errors that are probably MY fault, so be it. But so far I haven't had any luck. I've read the limited manual article on membership sponsorship and everything "appears" to be set correctly yet I still have test users that never got moved to the sponsored group (7) and they sit there at group 8.
