I just noticed that when I now alias a category it becomes a completely new category and doesn't show any of the links that are supposed to be in that category.
For some reason that came to mind to me as well but I didn't see anything in the change logs that I could equate it to. Although I appreciate you changing it back I don't want you to get a complaint asking you to make them unique again and 'round and 'round goes the programmer!

I'm sure there was an important reason why I switched them to unique ids a few weeks ago, but I can't remember it. Changing back.

I think the previous change was really for link aliasing, and I just did categories at the same time.
