Hi Paul

If you remember I have a new field into which I insert html for my affiliate banners. I use html because I have always had problems trying to change their code to wsn codes.

In v.5 it seems I can no longer do this, and this is a big problem for me.

If I input

<a href="http://www.awin1.com/cread.php?s=105708&amp;v=1465&amp;q=74876&amp;r=####&amp;clickref=littlemiss"><img src="http://www.awin1.com/cshow.php?s=105708&amp;v=1465&amp;q=74876&amp;r=####"></a>

it no longer displays like it used to in version 4.1 and previous. Looking at the source code it has changed this to

<a &amp;#104;ref="http://www.awin1.com/cread.php?s=65104&amp;v=1465&amp;q=53076&amp;r=####&amp;clickref=littlemiss"><img &amp;#115;rc="http://www.awin1.com/cshow.php?s=65104&amp;v=1465&amp;q=53076&amp;r=####"></a>

Help!

Fixing the HTML usergroup permission now.

PHP images are a security problem, which is why they're not allowed in WSN codes.

Jill, just curious but does this work for you now?

Paul, I followed the instructions at scripts.webmastersite.net/w...-banners-as-links-402.html, but it's not working for me. Does something need to be done differently to have it work in v5?

No - Paul has not yet corrected it, it should be done in the next release.

Hi Paul

Just upgraded my local copy to 5.0.2 and html is still not working.

If I enter it into the description, on submitting it just removes it all.

If I enter it into my new field it simply displays the coding because it is still changing it to:

&#60;a &#104;ref="http://www.thesite.com/cread.php?s=92186&v=182&q=3845&r=123456"&#62;&#60;img &#115;rc="http://www.thesite.com/cshow.php?s=92186&v=182&q=3845&r=123456"&#62;&#60;/a&#62;

It's working for me. I added your code to a test link and although the link and image do not work the source of the page gives me

<p><a href="http://www.awin1.com/cread.php?s=105708&amp;v=1465&amp;q=74876&amp;r=####&amp;clickref=littlemiss"><img src="http://www.awin1.com/cshow.php?s=105708&amp;v=1465&amp;q=74876&amp;r=####"></a></p>

hmm, the graphic and link not showing are a bit of a problem <G>

Here is what I get (ignore the layout I know it is not correct)

www.justearings.co.uk/index...ion=displaycat&catid=2

As you can see the html code shows - not the graphic and link :-(

What's with all the &amps? That'd be why it's not showing anything, presumably. Are you typing those or are they getting generated?

Stupid idea, but what if you removed the {LINKAFFILIATECODE} you created for that field (or whatever you named it) and re-created it?

No idea is stupid :-)

In this instance I have html script in the description field too and that doesn't work either.

Paul, those &amps are Hai's post, and they aren't in mine.

Please look at post #7 and you will see that wsn is changing my html so that it actually displays the <a href etc.

You can see this on my test site at www.justearings.co.uk/index...ion=displaycat&catid=2

Could this be the same as Jayweb's earlier problem? www.webmastersite.net/forum...eads/apostrophes-8327.html

You didn't have the HTML permission checked. Also you were using the WYSIWYG editor, which isn't for typing html into. Works for me on your site doing it the expected way.
