Just upgraded my test site to - thanks Paul. Took me a few minutes to realise I had to pay for it <G>

When submitting or editing links and cats, if you try to switch the editor, instead of switching it just submits the form.

[edit] It submits even though there is no link title or cat name - which are both a required field.

I can't reproduce anything like that. Sounds like what I saw in one of the early betas.

OK, It seems that it was only happening on my local. I upgraded an idle site online that I also use for testing and that was ok. On my local I reset everything, incl templates - still didn't work so tried upgrading again - still didn't work, so I scrapped itnod

New database, new install on local and it works. Lordy knows what is was!

Paul, this problem has returned :-(

Just added a link, switched to plain editor and instead it saved the link

Can't reproduce. I do get a prompt to sponsor if I select a category which doesn't allow my usergroup to submit, but anywhere I have permission I can switch editors.

This only seems to be happening on my site: http://www.idealchristmasgift.co.uk

It is happening anywhere I can switch. Very annoying as if I wish to switch it saves then I have to go in to edit it.

None of the templates where this occurs are customised, all are original.

Registered to see, got a bunch of errors but mysteriously no debug output: http://www.webmastersite.net/screenshots/12065.jpg

When I go to the submit link page, however, it behaves normally on switching editors. Nothing wrong there.

Do note the dead ad on the right though: http://www.webmastersite.net/screenshots/930.jpg

I logged out and then registered ok - no error problems when I did it!

Did a few tests and have now found that it only does it to admins. Made a member and it was ok. Made another admin and the problem occured

Yep - I've mentioned that a few times before (so have you smiling face ) - Never used to happen in the v.3 series. I THINK it started in V.4. It is a toplist on custom field that has html in it. On any form page it displays the html instead of the banner. It's a big pain in the rear, but as I am a big pain in the rear to you, and I don't feel it is REALLY important I haven't pushed it as a problem. Of course if you have a few spare minutes and would like to take a look at fixing it that would be great grin

Well I'll need an admin account then apparently.

Ran a quick test on HTML content in a custom link field toplisted in the wrapper on the suggest link page and see no problems: http://www.webmastersite.net/screenshots/13144.jpg

admin log in sent by your email form

The html problem happens on all my sites. I think it began with the v.4 upgrade, but not entirely sure on that one. Perhaps it happens when it is linking to an image on another server?

It's because you have admins able to bypass all requirements. Fixed.
