Try replacing the /admin/ directory in case an old autosetup.php isn't able to function, though it should.
I can't imagine what besides an incorrect file path could cause the files to not overwrite. Of course if you're willing to send me the access info that'd make it easy to find out.

Nope, that didn't work either. But as soon as you have the html working in v.5 I shall upgrade that site. I will do a manual upgrade and have to redo all my customised templates, so I might as well wait until I do that and not bother upgrading the 4.1
I shall get it working first on my local computer before uploading :-)

If your 4.1 doesn't upgrade, 5.0 won't either. Same system.
