I am getting returned emails to my host. They appear to have been generated through the send to a friend on this site, as they have the following content...
They have the subject "Check this page out!" but this doesn't appear in my language. The email it states it is from and to are the same and appear to be just random letters .com
First, if you mean the email link feature, that would give tne URL of a site listed in your directory -- not the URL of your directory itself.
If you're using the security image and they've cracked it, you can remove permission from guests to email links, or at least remove the {CUSTOMTEXT} from email_emaillinkbody.
What I am now getting are loads of spammers registering on my main site :-( Admin approved so they are just wasting my time - as if I had time to waste!

I am getting returned emails to my host. They appear to have been generated through the send to a friend on this site, as they have the following content...
http://freewebbargains.com
(list of crude links not on freewebbargains.com)

I have it set that guests can't email.
Any ideas on how to prevent these?

perhaps I am incorrect in thinking it may be generated through that and it is merely a coincidence.
[sigh] what sort of enjoyment do these people get from doing this sort of thing???!!!

They enjoy making loads of money.
Search for the text in your language. If the text doesn't match it's not from the script, if it does it almost certainly is.
