i am seeing a lot of 404 errors for ajax.php thru calls like http://www.mydomain.de/dir/ajax.php
but there is no reason for doing that

Well if you don't have an ajax.php you must not have done an upgrade from 4.0 correctly, since the file is there since 4.1.0.

my first installation was 4.1.26, so the ajax.php is still in the 'main' directory from the beginning. But the 404 errors are results of http://www.mydomain.de/category/ajax.php or http://www.mydomain.de/category/subcategory/ajax.php. Example: www.naturheilkunde-alternat...urveda_Ausbildung/ajax.php

I see. This is a problem, as the javascriptheader.js isn't a PHP file, so paths can't be specified it automatically. I'll see what I can come up with.
