The mysql warning must be a member-only thing, since I see no error as a guest there. I don't get one setting up my own KB either (did combine detail/comments as mentioned). The problem is the number of similar articles it's trying to fetch being blank. What do you see at Admin Panel -> Settings -> Articles? It should say 5: http://www.webmastersite.net/screenshots/13469.jpg .

I received the same error both as a guest and as a member when viewing the article page.
I had the Admin Panel -> Settings -> Articles -> Similar Articles blank. Since I did not want to show similar articles I simply removed the 5 from the option. By putting the 5 back in, the error went away.
I looked at the error message from my post again and I still do not see where it gives me a clue that the 'Similar Articles' setting was the cause of the error. Obviously it was, since putting a number back in the field corrected the error. What am I missing? I do really try to figure these problems out on my own before coming to you since many errors are caused by something we as users do to customize it to suit our sites.
Go to Admin Panel -> Settings -> Switches and uncheck the 'show similar articles' box there in the articles section.

The "LIMIT 0," is improper SQL syntax, since there's supposed to be another number after the comma specifying how many records to grab, and I recognized the rest of the query as being one checking for similar articles.
I'll add a check to reset the number to 0 when someone tries to make that setting blank.
Odd I couldn't find the error on your site since it logically should've been there even as a guest, but I'll chalk that up to going blind.
I do really try to figure these problems out on my own before coming to you since many errors are caused by something we as users do to customize it to suit our sites.
It's helpful for me to learn how people misconfigure things so I can anticipate and prevent future users doing the same, as by preventing blanks for the setting here. Sometimes it'll be natural for most people to try doing something trouble-causing that I'd never imagine trying because I already know how it works. And with the lack of inquiries I typically get on KB I worry sometimes that no one is using it, so it's nice to see a copy installed.
As with the first site that I use wsnkb on, another site I plan to use wsnkb on will be highly customized, hence the test site that I am using the latest version on. Once I get it working properly and a real website up and running for others in my group to see, there may be many others in my little world that will want to use it with my customizations. It just takes a lot of time to customize to our groups specific needs with custom fields and article types. Once I get the first custom article type working correctly, the rest should be fairly easy. In the meantime I am sure I will be back with many more questions.

The mysql warning must be a member-only thing, since I see no error as a guest there. I don't get one setting up my own KB either (did combine detail/comments as mentioned). The problem is the number of similar articles it's trying to fetch being blank. What do you see at Admin Panel -> Settings -> Articles? It should say 5: http://www.webmastersite.net/screenshots/13469.jpg .

I received the same error both as a guest and as a member when viewing the article page.
I had the Admin Panel -> Settings -> Articles -> Similar Articles blank. Since I did not want to show similar articles I simply removed the 5 from the option. By putting the 5 back in, the error went away.
I looked at the error message from my post again and I still do not see where it gives me a clue that the 'Similar Articles' setting was the cause of the error. Obviously it was, since putting a number back in the field corrected the error. What am I missing? I do really try to figure these problems out on my own before coming to you since many errors are caused by something we as users do to customize it to suit our sites.

Go to Admin Panel -> Settings -> Switches and uncheck the 'show similar articles' box there in the articles section.

The "LIMIT 0," is improper SQL syntax, since there's supposed to be another number after the comma specifying how many records to grab, and I recognized the rest of the query as being one checking for similar articles.
I'll add a check to reset the number to 0 when someone tries to make that setting blank.
Odd I couldn't find the error on your site since it logically should've been there even as a guest, but I'll chalk that up to going blind.
I do really try to figure these problems out on my own before coming to you since many errors are caused by something we as users do to customize it to suit our sites.
It's helpful for me to learn how people misconfigure things so I can anticipate and prevent future users doing the same, as by preventing blanks for the setting here. Sometimes it'll be natural for most people to try doing something trouble-causing that I'd never imagine trying because I already know how it works. And with the lack of inquiries I typically get on KB I worry sometimes that no one is using it, so it's nice to see a copy installed.

Thank you for getting back to me.
As with the first site that I use wsnkb on, another site I plan to use wsnkb on will be highly customized, hence the test site that I am using the latest version on. Once I get it working properly and a real website up and running for others in my group to see, there may be many others in my little world that will want to use it with my customizations. It just takes a lot of time to customize to our groups specific needs with custom fields and article types. Once I get the first custom article type working correctly, the rest should be fairly easy. In the meantime I am sure I will be back with many more questions.
