I am trying to be able to format user comments. I do not want to enable html, so I am trying to use wsn codes.
The default codes work fine but any code I create works in the preview of the message, but not in the actual thread.
The line breaks do not work in the plain text ediot or the wysiwyg editor, so I creted a code to separate the paragraphs.
I created
[p]MY CONTENT HERE[/p] , let this function as the HTML <p>MY CONTENT HERE</p>
It works fine when I preview the message before posting it, but when posted it displays as:
Settings/ Switches ... Wsn Codes = On Switches ... WYSIWYG editor = OFF (I have tried it swithched oN and same result) Switches ... WYSIWYG for descriptions = Off Switches ... Comment types = Off Switches ... Combine detail and comments pages = Off
Members/ Manage Usergroups/Member Can use: HTML = OFF Require validation of:Comments = On
The results are the same wheather I am logged in as admin, as a member, or as a quest.

Line breaks are controlled at Admin -> Settings -> General. Select applicable fields toward the bottom.
